Etodolac (Etodolac)
General information
Etodolac is a member of the pyranocarboxylic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Each tablet and capsule contains Etodolac for oral administration. Using for treated osteoarthritis pain, swelling and arthritis.
Directions
Take Etodolac exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Precautions
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to etodolac or aspirin or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach, congestive heart failure, stroke, high blood pressure, swelling, dehydration, blood disorders, asthma.
Contraindications
Possible side effects
First of all consult with your doctor if you have chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, problems with vision or balance; bloody stools; coughing up blood, swelling or rapid weight gain; nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice,fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash; bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness, headache, neck stiffness, chills, purple spots on the skin, diarrhea, dizziness.
Drug interaction
Before using ththis drug, consult with your doctor concerning products such as citalopram, duloxetine, escitalopram, fluoxetine, Sarafem, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline, or venlafaxine. Taking any of these drugs with Etodolac may cause you to bruise or bleed easily.
Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and use the medicine at your next regularly scheduled time. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Overdose
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from moisture and light. Keep it out of the reach of children and away from pets.
